MTV revela las nominaciones a los Video Music Awards 2021
MTV reveló hoy las nominaciones para los MTV Video Music Awards 2021, con artistas cuyo impacto cultural y trabajo durante el último año han transformado la industria de la música y han generado conversación a nivel global. Justin Bieber lidera la lista de nominados de este año con 7, seguido de cerca por Megan Thee Stallion con 6, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Drake, Giveon, Lil Nas X y la nominada por primera vez Olivia Rodrigo obtuvieron 5 nominaciones cada uno.
Los “VMA” 2021 regresan a Nueva York y serán transmitidos EN VIVO por MTV Latinoamérica desde el Barclays Center el domingo 12 de septiembre a las 7:00pm (México/Colombia), 8:00pm (Chile), 9:00pm (Argentina/Brasil). La premiación será transmitida a través de los canales y plataformas digitales de MTV a nivel global, presentes en 180 países y territorios, llegando a casi 400 millones de hogares en casi 30 idiomas diferentes.
A partir de hoy, los fans podrán votar por sus favoritos en 14 categorías sin-género incluyendo “Video del año”, “Artista del año”, “Mejor colaboración” y más visitando vma.mtv.com hasta el 3 de septiembre, 2021. La votación por “Mejor artista nuevo” seguirá abierta hasta el día del show el 12 de septiembre. Los nominados a “Mejor grupo” y “Canción del verano” serán revelados próximamente.
Este año, MTV está resaltando el trabajo de creadores emergentes negros, indígenas y de color, al destacarlos durante uno de los momentos más comentados de los VMA 2021. El día de hoy, MTV se asoció con Marlene Marmolejos (@motionmami), Aja Walton (@ajackdannie), y Fred Sands IV (@IVormerlyknownas) para anunciar categorías importantes del show como “Video del año”, “Canción del año” y “Artista del año” a través de cada uno de sus diversos medios, desde el arte digital hasta el arte en las uñas.
Los VMA se convertirán en una de las primeras entregas de premios con fans presenciales en Nueva York desde la reapertura de la ciudad. La salud y la seguridad de los artistas, los fanáticos, el personal y los socios siguen siendo la prioridad número uno y MTV y Barclays Center están trabajando en estrecha colaboración con los funcionarios estatales y locales para implementar las mejores prácticas a fin de reunir de manera segura a los fanáticos de la música de todo el mundo.
